Decentraland (MANA) defines itself as a virtual reality platform powered by the Ethereum blockchain that allow users to create, experience, and monetize content and applications found on its ecosystem.
Decentraland makes use of two primary tokens: MANA and LAND. MANA is an ERC-20 token that can be burned (or used) to acquire non-fungible ERC-721 LAND tokens (also known as NFTs). MANA tokens can also be exchanged to purchase a variety of items within its own ecosystem such as a range of avatars, cosmetic items (or “wearables”), names / call signs, and more on the Decentraland marketplace.
