Shiba Inu (SHIB), often referred to as a “meme coin”, was named after the popular Japanese dog breed, “Shiba Inu”. Created on the Ethereum network by the anonymous Ryoshi, it was designed to be an alternative to Dogecoin (DOGE), one of the first and most popular meme coins.
