On April 15, 2021, the Ethereum network underwent an upgrade that introduced the following Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) in the network:
- Lessen possible Denial of Service (DoS) attacks
- Streamlining the usage of gas fees
- Enhancement on the usage of new transaction types
Refer to this link for other specifications related to the upgrade: https://blog.ethereum.org/2021/03/08/ethereum-berlin-upgrade-announcement/
The Ethereum Berlin Upgrade (2021) focused on enhancing and streamlining the current protocols in the network. There were also no announcements of a cryptocurrency forking from their main token, ETH, upon completion of the network upgrade.
In line with that, we have now re-enabled the ability to send and receive in the Coins.ph ETH Wallet.
ETH sent to your Coins.ph ETH address (using the ETH network) during the upgrade will also be credited to your wallet. Please allow the team to credit your transfer within 24 hours.
However, the sending of ERC-20 tokens and other cross-chain deposits during the upgrade will not be recovered.
