What is two-factor authentication?

Two-factor authentication (also called "2FA," or "two-step verification") is a security precaution that provides an extra layer of protection to your account.

It is a process that requires users to verify their identity using two ways: after logging in with your username and password, you will also be asked to enter a code that is sent to your mobile phone, through an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Authy.

Two-factor codes are unique, randomly generated, constantly refreshing and therefore very difficult to hack. Since the chances of another person also having access to your mobile phone is significantly slim, your account will be much better protected.

In short, when you enable 2FA, our site will be better able to distinguish whether it's really you that's logging into your account.
