To set up your 2-Factor Authentication for your Coins.ph account, simply follow the steps below:
On the Coins App
1. Download and install the Google Authenticator app or Authy.
Head over to the App Store for iOS or the Google Play Store for Android and download Google Authenticator or Authy. It only takes seconds to install!
2. Go to your Coins.ph Account Settings page to enable 2FA
Log in to your Coins.ph account. Tap on the User icon on the top left corner of the screen
Choose Settings
Afterwards, you may head to Enable Authenticator App.
Next, tap on [Got it] so you may receive your verification code through your email address or mobile number. Enter the code.
You will be directed to a page wherein your Setup key is provided. Copy this key to be pasted as you add your account to your Authenticator App.
3. Open your authenticator app and add an entry.
Open the Google Authenticator / Authy app on your smartphone and tap on the "+" button seen on the lower right part of your screen and select "Enter a provided key" wherein you input or paste the Setup key you copied from the Coins app.
The app will immediately generate a 6-digit verification code for your account. This code changes every 30 seconds (there is a timer on the lower-right side of the codes). On the Coins app, click "I have entered the code" then on the next page, copyp the latest 6 digit code that your Authenticator app shows. Enter this code into the Coins.ph screen, then click "Enable 2FA."
If you follow all the steps above, you're done. Congratulations on enabling your 2FA!
On the Coins website
Go to your Coins.ph Account Settings page to enable 2FA.
Log in to your Coins.ph account, go to the User icon and select Account Settings from the drop down menu.
Under the Security section, click the Enable button along the Authenticator App option.
You will be given a step-by-step guide. Kindly read through and follow all steps.
That’s it, you’re done! Now, next time you log in to your Coins.ph account, after you enter your password, you’ll need to input the randomly generated code by your Google Authenticator app or Authy before gaining access. Since the code’s randomly generated, it’d be extremely difficult to guess it.
