Two-factor authentication, also called "2FA" or "TFA," is a security precaution that provides an extra layer of protection to your accounts.
Using 2FA, you will be required to go through 2 steps in order to verify your identity. The first step, is to login using your username and password. Then, instead of immediately granting you access to your account, you will be asked to enter a code that is seen on your Google Authenticator or Authy app.
Two-factor codes are unique and constantly refreshing. They are therefore very difficult to hack. Since the chances of another person also having access to both your login credentials and mobile phone is significantly slim, your Coins.ph account will be much better protected!
In short, when you enable 2FA, our site will be better able to distinguish whether it's really you that's logging into your account and prevent unauthorized use.
