Due to the KNC migration proposed in KIP-6, two versions of KNC exist at the moment. KNC Legacy (KNCL) refers to the old version of KNC, while KNC v2 refers to the new version of KNC.
Unlike the legacy version of KNC, KNC v2 uses a new token contract that allows for token upgradability and a dynamic token supply. These changes give the KyberDAO greater flexibility in adapting to changes in the DeFi landscape. You may read the original proposal (KIP-6) for more information.
