Your verification code is an OTP (One-Time Password) that is provided before you can create a transaction or update your account details. When you are asked for an OTP, it is expected to be primarily sent in your registered mobile number, email address and/or 2FA authenticator - all that are required under Security Check.
Here are the following actions that will require you for a verification code:
- Cash in / Cash out transactions
- Buy load / Pay bills transactions
- Wallet transfer transactions
- Logging in to your account
- Resetting your password
- Changing your email address and/or mobile number
- Enabling the 2FA (2-Factor Authentication)
To receive your verification codes, kindly ensure to have your account details (email address, mobile number and/or 2FA app) accessible, then click Send or Send Code.
For Authenticator App, this would be readily available from your 2FA app.
Verification codes are unique and are valid for 10 minutes, as long as you do not request for a new code. With our recently implemented security policy to better protect user account safety during transactions/ activities, necessary checks may lead to providing additional one-time passwords (OTPs).
However, you might encounter delays or errors when receiving this. In order to receive the codes quickly, make sure that you have a stable internet service or strong signal of data connection. The deliverability of the code will highly depend on how fast your signal and connection is.
Should you be having issues with receiving your verification codes on your email address and/or mobile number because you have lost access to or having trouble accessing them, you may seek assistance from our Need Help? option. More on this option on our article here.
It would be helpful to enable the 2FA in your account. If this is enabled, once requested, you can directly check it from your Google Authenticator or Authy app instead. To find out how to enable two-factor authentication for your account, read our step-by-step guide.
With all these authentication methods available for your perusal, kindly take note you may manage on which ones to receive your verification codes for your activity. Just follow the steps below:

3. Proceed with the verification steps. You may be required to undergo verification such as Facial Recognition or several authentication codes.
4. Once done with the verification steps, your authentication methods are now set. You'd only receive verification codes on your preferred account details that are turned on.
